OK, so you can't see the front end too well, but we can see larger side vents as well as a more angular roofline and hood. Here is what The Car Connection had to say about the Chevys upcoming C6 plans:
So Chevys future lineup will be broader than ever, with far more niche products. Of course, the brands flagship will remain the Corvette. And after a years delay, the long-awaited sixth generation Vette, or C6, will finally take its bows at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next January.
In an unusual move, Chevy has offered up its own spy shot of the C6. And though the automaker had few other details to discuss, TheCarConnection has learned that the base Corvette should punch past 400 horsepower. It will have more of everything, according to Bob Lutz, GMs Vice Chairman and car czar. And thats going to be especially true of the Z06 version, which is likely to top the 500-hp mark.
The design will be evolutionary, and will (use) a lot of race car technology that will make it a better car. But it wont be a race car plunked on the street, according to development chief Dave Hill. Plans call for the coupe version to hit the street at the start of the 2005 model-year. By the 06 model-year, Chevy will add a convertible and then the updated Z06.
